Fort Lauderdale-based, non-profit organization Rebuilding Together Broward County, Inc. (Rebuilding Together Broward) was recently in need of acquiring a new vehicle to help them with their efforts to restore and provide better living conditions to low income homeowners in the local community. When Rick Case Automotive Group learned of the organization’s plight, the car dealership immediately stepped up to the plate and generously donated a used 2004 Honda Pilot from its Rick Case Honda dealership in Davie, Florida. On Thursday, August 29th, Stan Bostic, National Director of Communications and VIP Programs for the Rick Case Automotive Group, proudly handed the keys of the Honda Pilot to Sandra Veszi Einhorn, Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Broward County, Inc., and Rebuilding Together Board Chair, Allan Weiss of Raymond James Financial.
Rebuilding Together Broward brings volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners including the elderly, disabled, those living in poverty and veterans. It is essential that the organization has the proper transportation to help restore safe and sanitary living conditions to the homeowners they serve. Rebuilding Together Broward provides its services at no cost to the homeowners.
The Honda Pilot will be used in many ways including transporting Rebuilding Together Broward team members to site visits, so they can inspect the homes that will need safe and healthy living conditions restored. At times, it will transport paint rollers, drop cloths, cases of water and other supplies, to dedicated volunteers who generously give their time to make a home secure, look nicer and help to revitalize the neighborhood. The SUV will also be used to deliver essential safety items like bath mats (to prevent slips and falls), smoke detectors and emergency preparedness kits, to those who can’t get them on their own.
“We are so very thankful to the Rick Case Automotive Group for their extremely generous donation,” said Sandra Veszi Einhorn, Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Broward. “The Honda Pilot will help us transport essential supplies needed to restore homes, revitalize neighborhoods, and help so many people in our community.”
“The Rick Case Automotive Group is so pleased to support Rebuilding Together Broward, an incredible organization that works so hard to help low-incoming homeowners in Broward County,” added Stan Bostic, National Director of Communications and VIP Programs for the Rick Case Automotive Group. “We are so proud to know that the Honda Pilot will be well represented in the community and be used to benefit so many people.”
